The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern

This book.  Oooooh, this book.  I love this book so much I listened to it on audio, read it in print AND paid to have it signed by the author and shipped to my house from Boston. I added the picture of Jim Dale because he is the narrator of the audiobook (and because I love him). Ahem, a little bit from the book jacket.

The circus arrives without warning. No announcements precede it. It is simply there, when yesterday it was not. Within the black-and-white striped canvas tents is an utterly unique experience full of breathtaking amazements. It is called Le Cirque des Rêves, and it is only open at night.”

Celia and Marco are two “magicians” dueling together in the circus due to a previous agreement made by their mentors. All the other characters involved in the circus are involved due to this agreement and cannot be torn away. It really has nothing to do with the circus it has to do with this duel and their unrequited love. Can’t tell you much or it will ruin it, but this is a book you NEED to read.

I’ve had troubles finding other books that are like this one. Any readers have suggestions?
