Discovery of Witches by Deborah Harkness

Another retro review. Heaven help us all. This book will make you stay awake until you finish. Well, maybe it won’t for you but it did for me. I listened to it on audiobook in two days. I added the photo of Jennifer Ikeda because she is the narrator. There are witches and vampires. But I promise, its not Twilight. Its more like Harry Potter.. for adults.. with love.. Its so good y’all! The writing is wonderful and the plot moves quickly. I do warn you, its a trilogy. So don’t fall in love if you aren’t ready to commit.

“Debut novelist Deborah Harkness has crafted a mesmerizing and addictive read, equal parts history and magic, romance and suspense. Diana is a bold heroine who meets her equal in vampire geneticist Matthew Clairmont, and gradually warms up to him as their alliance deepens into an intimacy that violates age-old taboos.”
