Peter & the Starcatchers

On my way down to Oklahoma this weekend I listened to this book. I know its probably repetitive to say this but I listened to it because it’s narrated by JIM DALE. That’s it. That’s the only reason. I have no love for Peter Pan or anything and for most of the book I kept thinking, what does this even have to do with Peter Pan? Here’s a summary.

A fast-paced, impossible-to-put-down adventure awaits as the young orphan Peter and his mates are dispatched to an island ruled by the evil King Zarboff. They set sail aboard the Never Land, a ship carrying a precious and mysterious trunk in its cargo hold, and the journey quickly becomes fraught with excitement and danger.

My only qualm is that the author names the precious and mysterious stuff in the trunk “star stuff”. Seriously? The whole book is based around this magical substance and you named it “star stuff”? Could you get any LESS creative? But otherwise it was an okay read. However, I probably would have stopped listening had it not been the milky voice of Jim.

Although we have this audiobook in kids it could also be a young adult book.
