Smile by Raina Telgemeier

No title

I read this book a million years ago (July 2012) and never posted anything. Actually, I think that’s because I didn’t even have a blog then. But Raina has since come out with another book and has two more on the way so I thought I’d post about them. These are graphic novel autobiography style books for young adults. In Smile, Raina talks about her teeth. Namely the lack of one of her teeth and all the pain she had to go through to get it back. It’s pretty cute and also packs a lot off teenage angst in there that doesn’t concern her teeth. The illustrations are also nice compared to some other weird looking graphic novels I’ve seen.
